The challenges
encountered.
As a company building from the ground up, GiftWorks was creating everything from scratch while simultaneously helping people find living organ donor matches, requiring a highly agile and responsive turnaround for all materials.
Because of the organizations GiftWorks partners with, every piece of content needed to be co-branded with their medical partners and approved by each organization’s compliance team before it could be used to source potential matches.
Another challenge was gathering information from individuals awaiting transplants, many of whom were hesitant to share their stories out of concern that they might burden others by asking for something as precious as a living organ donation.

The outcomes
achieved.
After completing dozens of projects together, the impact has been overwhelmingly positive. With more than 100 transplant recipients helped, GiftWorks is now contributing to saving over one person per week who may not have otherwise received an organ donation in time.
The materials we’ve created together have helped GiftWorks secure partners and funding to mentor over 1,000 potential living organ donors since launching in 2023. These resources inform, educate, and encourage people to become living donors—or to refer someone who might be able to help.
One of the most significant contributions has been the quarterly reports, examples of which are shown on this page. These reports highlight the process, key statistics, and outcomes of GiftWorks’ efforts. They have been highly effective in demonstrating impact and securing continued support from organizations committed to expanding access to living organ donation.
